Job summary

Argo Group seeks a highly capable Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment ending October 9, 2026. Position can be in-office or remote, with work from anywhere in the United States.

The role handles high-technical indemnity claims for AL, SC, and TN, requiring five years’ experience, a bachelor’s degree, and AL/SC licenses at start. Overtime may be required and accurate timesheets are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute.
• License required in AL & SC at start of assignment.
• Minimum five years’ experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in AL, SC, and TN.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate high-technical workers' compensation claims with significant limits and authority.
• Investigation of claims promptly and thoroughly, including interviews.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Set reserves and coordinate resources to resolve cases.
• Prepare file documentation and communicate with insured and claimants.
