Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment. This role will adjudicate high‑complexity CA claims, with in‑office or remote work options from anywhere in the United States. End date around October 9, 2026.

Timekeeping and overtime may apply as needed. The role emphasizes strong negotiation, independent judgment, and a deep understanding of claims management within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience adjudicating CA workers' compensation claims.
• Bachelor’s degree required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• CA SIP designation or WCCA & WCCP designations are required.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how an insurance company works.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate high‑tech complexity workers' compensation claims under significant authority.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly with involved parties.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Negotiate settlements and manage diary to achieve timely resolution.
• Set claim reserves and coordinate expert resources for case resolution.
