Job summary

Cottingham & Butler Claims Services (CBCS) is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to work from home across Southeast jurisdictions. Prior WC adjusting experience is required (statements, lost wage benefits, state forms, denials, subrogation, litigation).

You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims for clients, communicating with claimants, attorneys, providers, and executives. We provide equipment, IT support, and training from our home office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster.
• License/state experience in the Southeast states.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office and claims management software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims.
• Communicate with claimants, providers, and attorneys to manage claims.
• Review medical and legal documents to determine claim validity and benefits.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date claim files and documentation.
