Job summary

Cottingham & Butler is seeking a Work From Home Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers' compensation claims for clients. Prior workers compensation adjusting experience is required, including taking statements, paying lost wage benefits, filing state forms, denying claims, subrogation, and potential litigation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office and claims management software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with a wide variety of individuals including CEOs, claimants, providers, and attorneys.
• Experience handling claims in multiple jurisdictions is vital for success in this role.
