Job summary

X-Team International is seeking an experienced Workday integration specialist for a remote contractor role. You will own bidirectional data flows between Workday and payroll, benefits, retirement, equity, and engagement vendors for a fast-growing commerce and logistics company.

The role covers the full lifecycle—design, build, test, deploy, and support—using EIBs, Core Connectors, RaaS, and Workday Web Services, with orchestration in Workato and other iPaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and running bidirectional Workday integrations in production.
• Production mastery of Workday EIBs and Core Connectors.
• Experience with Workday RaaS and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Strong Workday HCM core knowledge.
• Experience integrating HR, benefits, payroll, or 401(k) systems, including vendor file specifications, open enrollment cycles, and production cutovers.
• Deep working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, flat-file structures, and SFTP pipelines.
• Experience securing integrations with OAuth and Workday ISUs.
• Daily production experience with Workato or comparable enterprise iPaaS (Dell Boomi, Celigo, MuleSoft, webMethods).
• Proven ability to own the full integration lifecycle independently: scoping, data mapping, building, testing, deploying, and supporting.
• 5+ years of Workday integration experience, or 3+ years of deep, high-impact Workday integration work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Workday integrations in production.
• Design bidirectional data flows using EIBs and Core Connectors.
• Lead vendor rollouts from specs to go-live.
• Monitor integration health and provide L2 support.
• Collaborate with People, Finance, IT, Payroll teams to ensure reliability.
