Job summary

Planet Group is seeking an experienced Workday HCM Workstream Lead to own the HCM workstream end to end, with a primary focus on Core HCM, Compensation, and Security.

This contract role is fully remote across the United States, requiring hands-on Workday configuration expertise and strong consulting experience to guide stakeholders through design, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization. The engagement runs for 12 months with potential extensions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday Core HCM experience with hands-on configuration across Core HCM, Compensation, and Security.
• Active Workday HCM certification and experience with a Workday Certified Services Partner.
• Strong knowledge of organizational structures, staffing models, business processes, compensation configuration, security groups, and domain security.
• Proven experience leading Workday workstreams, managing stakeholders, translating requirements into scalable solutions.
• Excellent client-facing communication and consulting skills with flexibility to support increased hours during critical project periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HCM workstream across planning, design, configuration, testing, optimization, and stakeholder communication.
• Own Core HCM, Compensation, and Security configuration including org structures, staffing models, worker lifecycle processes, compensation plans and security policies.
• Troubleshoot complex functional issues, support Workday releases and regression testing, identify opportunities for system improvement.
• Partner across Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Talent, Recruiting, Integrations, and Reporting to manage dependencies and deliver scalable solutions.
• Advise stakeholders, drive key decisions, and provide hands-on guidance and knowledge transfer throughout the engagement.
