Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Manager of Workday Financials to configure, optimize, and support Workday Finance modules. You will partner with Finance leadership, translate business needs into scalable configurations, and drive roadmap priorities while ensuring reliable day‑to‑day operations.

This role is 100% remote and requires work within MCW's payroll states. You will lead a team of Finance Architects, Configurators, and Analysts, coordinating with stakeholders to implement

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of Workday experience with hands-on modules.
• 3+ years of leadership or team lead experience.
• Preferred Workday Certifications in FDM, Core Finance, Grants, Projects, Procurement.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the configuration and ongoing support of assigned Workday Finance modules.
• Manage enhancement intake, backlog tracking, and prioritization with stakeholders.
• Support Workday feature release reviews, assess impacts, and coordinate implementation activities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders, including managing escalations and issue resolution.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to a team of Finance Architects, Configurators, and Analysts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize changes and enhancements based on business needs.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution.
• Monitor case management processes and ensure timely resolution of system issues, including high-impact items.
• Ensure adherence to governance, standards, and best practices in system configuration and support.
