Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive Workday Core and Advanced Compensation initiatives, delivering configuration, testing, and continuous improvement while guiding a team of product engineers. You will align compensation solutions with policy requirements and business goals in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with product teams, ensure security and enterprise standards, and manage delivery planning and testing across releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Workday experience with Core Compensation and/or Advanced Compensation
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
• Strong understanding of compensation administration, salary planning, incentive programs, and Total Rewards processes
• Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, testing functionality, and supporting production environments

Responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of Workday Core and Advanced Compensation
• Partner with Product managers to align solutions with compensation programs and business objectives
• Provide technical input into product strategy, estimation, and delivery planning
• Ensure solutions follow Workday best practices, security requirements, and standards
• Drive improvements to simplify processes and improve user experience
• Supervise a team of Product Engineers for Workday Compensation and promote engineering best practices
• Offer guidance on complex configuration challenges and platform capabilities
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and cross-functional teams for delivery
• Track key operational and quality metrics and product health
• Oversee testing: functional, regression, integration, and UAT
