Job summary

Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Work and Family Life Specialist (Remote) to deliver in-person and virtual workshops, provide one-on-one consultations, and coordinate information and referral services for the Fleet and Family Support Program.

The role supports service members and families worldwide, including on Navy ships, with travel up to 50%. Candidates should have a social science degree or equivalent experience, strong presentation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience presenting and facilitating training for large and small groups in person and online.
• Experience using various digital tools to enable virtual training.
• Knowledge of FFSP programs and deployment and mobilization support areas.
• Strong technical acumen with tools to support virtual delivery and ability to set up equipment while traveling.
• Knowledge of needs assessment tools (surveys).
• Knowledge of the military lifestyle and social services resources.
• Knowledge of adult education principles and training curriculum development.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience making management reports.
• Must meet naval shipboard requirements including physical navigation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and virtual workshops across various Work and Family Life Program areas for service members and families.
• Provide one-on-one consultations across various Work and Family Life Program areas for service members and families.
• Provide comprehensive location-specific information and referral services in-person or virtually.
• Provide in-person or virtual support for disaster preparedness or in response to crisis events throughout the world.
• Provide in-person support aboard Navy ships for Shipboard events and Return and Reunions (R&R).
• Ensure all information and referral, one-on-one, and group education services provided are entered into the government’s system of record.
• Utilize various technological tools (collaboration platforms, video conferencing software, project management tools) to effectively communicate with stakeholders and to provide virtual service delivery.
• Perform basic troubleshooting steps when technology challenges occur.
• Cross‑training and support for additional program areas as assigned.
• Support marketing and outreach initiatives to promote awareness and utilization of program services.
• Other duties as assigned.
