Job summary

Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Work and Family Life Specialist (Remote) to provide one-on-one consultations, education, training, and information and referral services in support of the Fleet and Family Support Program.

Delivery will occur via webinars, video, email, phone, and sometimes in-person services aboard Navy ships worldwide. The role includes deployment and relocation topics, life skills education, and family employment readiness, with up to 50% travel when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or related behavioral science field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience making presentations and facilitating training for groups in person and online.
• Experience using digital technology to facilitate virtual training.
• Knowledge of FFSP programs and related areas: Deployment and Mobilization Support, Ombudsman Training, Relocation, Life Skills, Transition, Family Employment Readiness.
• Strong technical acumen using tools to support virtual service delivery and collaboration; ability to set up AV equipment while traveling.
• Knowledge of development and execution of needs assessment tools; knowledge of military lifestyle and social services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and virtual workshops across Work and Family Life Program areas for service members and families.
• Provide one-on-one consultations across Work and Family Life Program areas for service members and families.
• Provide location-specific information and referral services in-person or virtually.
• Provide in-person or virtual support for disaster preparedness or crisis events worldwide.
• Provide in-person support aboard Navy ships for Shipboard events and R&R.
• Ensure all information and referral, one-on-one, and group education services are entered into the government’s system of record.
• Utilize collaboration platforms, video conferencing software, and project management tools to communicate with stakeholders and deliver virtual services.
• Perform basic troubleshooting steps when technology challenges occur.
• Cross-train and support additional program areas as assigned.
• Support marketing and outreach initiatives to promote awareness and utilization of services.
• Other duties as assigned.
