Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Manager I - Project Engineering, Wind to lead a team of engineers delivering safe, utility-scale wind designs from award to closeout. You will coach, mentor, and set objectives while coordinating with Engineering, Construction, and Supply Chain to keep work moving forward.

You will drive standard design practices, manage schedules and budgets, and oversee resource planning across multiple wind projects, with travel up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering from ABET-accredited college, or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification required and must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Seven or more years of progressive engineering experience in energy or construction with leadership experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR; travel up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Oversees full engineering lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout, focusing on schedule conformance and high-impact design decisions.
• Delivers economical designs and collaborates with departments, vendors, and outside firms to explore innovative methods.
• Maintains safe, regulatory-compliant engineering design practices across projects.
• Provides guidance to Lead/Senior Engineers and Engineer I/II on design and estimating deliverables.
• Supports technical review of new equipment and materials; coordinates with Supply Chain, Estimating, and Construction.
• Drives design consistency across projects and establishes standard design approaches where possible.
• Manages schedules and budgets across the portfolio to meet deadlines and resource needs.
• Coordinates with senior engineering leadership to determine resource requirements for workload balance.
