Job summary

The Washington State Department of Health seeks a WIC Training and Program Development Manager to lead the statewide Communication and Training Team and oversee nutrition education, policy implementation, and training resources. This home-based role offers a hybrid setup with occasional onsite work in Tumwater and light field duties across the state.

Reporting to the Nutrition and Client Service Section Manager, you will supervise CTT staff, drive statewide WIC training, and ensure training

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing a health services or public health program.
• Experience developing service delivery training and instructional design.
• Ability to translate complex program requirements into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Communication and Training Team for WIC statewide.
• Coordinate training for local WIC staff to ensure consistent, participant-centered service.
• Develop and implement WIC policies, procedures, and program materials.
• Create participant nutrition education resources aligned with WIC requirements.
• Collaborate with program leaders and local agencies to ensure quality and equity.
