Job summary

The Herd Lending is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer who is currently residing in Florida to join a fully remote team. You will develop relationships with borrowers, real estate professionals, and referral partners, guiding clients through the mortgage process from pre-approval to closing.

You should have active NMLS registration, prior mortgage origination experience, and a proven ability to generate business in a national wholesale market.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS registration and required state licenses for states you originate.
• Previous mortgage loan origination experience.
• Strong ability to generate business and build lasting referral relationships.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, real estate professionals, builders, financial professionals, and referral partners.
• Speak with prospective borrowers to understand goals, income, credit, assets, and property needs.
• Educate clients on available mortgage products, rates, costs, timelines, and qualification requirements.
• Recommend loan solutions that align with each borrower’s financial situation and long term goals.
• Guide borrowers through application, processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Develop new business through networking, referrals, and personal marketing.
