Job summary

The Herd Lending is actively seeking experienced Mortgage Brokers for a fully remote role that pays on commission. You will build relationships with borrowers, real estate professionals, and referral partners, guiding clients from application through closing with a broad selection of mortgage programs.

You will operate in a national market, leveraging in-house marketing and a flexible schedule to serve homebuyers, homeowners, self-employed borrowers, veterans, and investors, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Active NMLS registration or licenses for originating states
• Previous mortgage loan origination experience required
• Proven ability to generate new business and referrals
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, guidelines, docs, and lending regs
• Comfort handling both simple and complex borrower scenarios

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with borrowers and partners
• Consult with borrowers to understand goals, income, assets, and property needs
• Educate clients on products, rates, costs, timelines, and qualification rules
• Recommend loan solutions aligned with the borrower's finances
• Guide borrowers through application, documentation, preapproval, processing and closing
• Review loan files to identify potential challenges early
• Communicate clearly with borrowers and referral partners throughout
• Maintain an active pipeline and follow up with leads and past clients
• Develop new business via networking and personal marketing
