Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth with food retailers and distributors in the West region. Remote/West-office, preferably CA, with significant travel and a strong emphasis on strategic sales planning and strong customer relationships.

The role requires a technical sales background in refrigeration, leadership ability, and exceptional negotiation and communication skills to expand the customer base and meet revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years refrigeration sales experience, or 7–10 years in refrigeration sales.

Responsibilities

• Build a strategic sales plan account by account.
• Manage factory support to contracted rep groups, dealers & Independents.
• Conduct sales calls with dealers and prospects to explain products and services.
• Qualify account needs and identify key mobilizers within a retailer’s organization.
• Create and close sales.
• Forecast revenue on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• As main contact, handle price objections and prepare bids and aftermarket support.
• Collaborate with customers to solve complex problems.
• Record, update, and analyze account information for sales strategy.
• Gather industry trends to inform product management.
• Travel ~50% to meet customers and prospects.
• Meet with customers, prospects, and suppliers at facilities as scheduled.
