Job summary

Huntress Labs is seeking a Security Operations Center Analyst to join our remote, US-based team. You will triage, investigate, and remediate intrusions daily, strengthening defenses for customers worldwide and advancing your analyst skills in a mission-driven environment.

You will work with an elite SOC team, analyzing alerts, performing malware analyses, and contributing to detection engineering and cross-team projects. This role offers growth and the chance to impact real security outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a SOC or Digital Forensics (DFIR) role.
• Demonstrated experience with Windows, Linux, and MacOS as an attack surface.
• Demonstrated experience with basic Threat Actor tools and techniques (MITRE ATT&CK, PowerShell, Command Prompt, WMIC, Scheduled Tasks, Windows Domain/enumeration, Lateral Movement, Persistence, Defense Evasion).
• Demonstrated experience with static and dynamic malware analysis concepts.
• Working knowledge of Windows Administration or Enterprise Domain Administration.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, Domain Trusts, etc.
• Core networking concepts and web technologies, OWASP top 10, etc.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex events to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, and respond to alerts from the Huntress platform.
• Perform root-cause analysis of attacks and provide remediations.
• Conduct tactical malware analysis during investigations.
• Investigate suspicious Microsoft M365 activity and provide remediations.
• Assist in escalations from Product Support for threat-related questions.
• Contribute to detection engineering and tuning efforts.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving outcomes for analysts and partners.
• Collaborate within a mentored team to continuously improve skills.
