Job summary

Flourish is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead end-to-end client relationships from pipeline to activation. This remote role covers the Western United States, with California strongly preferred, and up to 50% travel for pitches and conferences.

You will expand the client base in wealth management and fintech, collaborate with marketing and the data team, and guide strategic initiatives while maintaining clear internal communication and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of related sales experience.
• Background in financial sales; fintech preferred.
• Series 7 license or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Remote position based in the western United States (TX, CO, AZ, CA; CA strongly preferred).
• Experience working with Retirement Investment Advisors.
• Must pass a background check, including fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage client relationships end-to-end, from sales pipeline to client activation and adoption.
• Interact with key clients to understand and resolve complex issues related to the platform.
• Partner with the relationship management team to develop a coverage strategy for existing clients.
• Identify and originate new business opportunities, independently or with marketing.
• Maintain the sales pipeline using CRM and collaborate with the data team on reporting tools.
• Collaborate on product and functional strategy for Flourish.
• Travel up to 50% of the time for sales pitches and conferences.
• Stay current on industry trends, particularly in wealth management.
• Maintain excellent communication with internal stakeholders.
• Exercise sound judgment and analysis to arrive at recommendations and conclusions.
