Job summary

Dover is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer focused on welding and fabrication to optimize processes and equipment for mass production. You will lead design input, select and qualify new machinery, and push productivity improvements across operations.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in welding/fabrication, CAD (SolidWorks), metrology, and lean manufacturing with proven problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering with welding/fabrication exposure.
• Strong CAD skills and metrology experience expected.
• Strong experience with Welding/Fabrication Equipment - TIG, MIG, Laser Welding, Press Brake, Laser Cutting, Blanking & Bending Automation, Turret Punch Press, etc.
• Willing and able to travel 75% from a major US based airport.
• Strong Lean knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design welding/fabrication processes for efficiency and quality.
• Lead equipment selection, qualification, and transfer to mass production.
• Drive productivity via lean methods and TPM/SMED initiatives.
• Develop and deploy new welding/fabrication technologies for improvement.
• Provide technical development and deployment for new technologies related to Welding/Fabrication process to drive productivity improvements.
