Job summary

Dover Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead welding and fabrication process optimization, equipment selection, and new control strategies. You will analyze design specs, review setups, and ensure smooth transitions to mass production, with a focus on productivity and quality.

The role is Remote within the United States, with 60-75% travel to manufacturing sites and periodic site and factory testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• Proven experience with Welding/Fabrication processes.
• Strong CAD experience (SolidWorks or equivalent).
• Experience with metrology systems such as CMMs and 3D imaging.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design manufacturing processes for Welding/Fabrication parts.
• Support OEE improvements via SMED/TPM and equipment upgrades.
• Lead equipment qualification, setup reviews, and new control strategies.
• Develop in-house Welding/Fabrication capabilities and new process methods.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize tooling and tooling utilization.
• Provide hands-on support for new product launches and process improvements.
