Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a SQL Server DBA for a part-time, fully remote role based in the United States. The position emphasizes weekend coverage, hands-on production support, maintenance, backups, and high-availability tasks.

You will work with clients remotely, troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and perform patches and migrations. Requires 2–5 years' experience and SQL Server mastery.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of production support SQL Server DBA experience.
• Hands-on with SQL Server 2012–2025, backups, restores, and HA.
• Strong T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with Always On AG and Windows Server Failover Clusters.
• Familiarity with SSIS deployment and monitoring.
• Excellent communication and remote-working capability.

Responsibilities

• Urgent production support: respond to alerts and incidents promptly.
• Weekend maintenance: updates, index rebuilds, DBCC CHECKDB, schema changes.
• Performance management: investigate tempdb, deadlocks, and slow queries.
• High-availability: configure and failover Always On and clustering.
• Backup and recovery: manage backups, point-in-time restores, and maintenance.
• Client communication: explain findings and recommendations clearly.
• Data integration: troubleshoot SSIS packages and data flows.
• Administrative accuracy: maintain tickets and timesheets.
