Job summary

SmartAsset is seeking a Senior Frontend/Backend Engineer to join the Web Platform team responsible for content management and serving high-quality web services. You will work across front and back-end systems, collaborating closely with senior engineers and architects to design and migrate our content management systems while delivering scalable, performant web applications.

The role emphasizes Agile practices, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong focus on architecture and cloud-enabled

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building, maintaining, and scaling highly available, performant web platforms with Java (or similar) and deep expertise in ReactJS and NodeJS for modular, modern web applications.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, version control with Git, and designing and implementing complex cloud solutions (preferably AWS).
• Proven ability to drive project and product success in Agile environments with clear communication and decisive action.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an AGILE SCRUM team, responsible for running and scaling our web site and other web products.
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to complete sprint commitments.
• Participate in technical decisions and document improvements as we revamp services.
• Guide technical designs and ensure successful implementation of the team roadmap.
• Communicate effectively to support collaboration in a fully remote environment.
