Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Web Designer and AI Trainer to create realistic design briefs and assess frontier AI design tools against professional standards. This contract role involves critiquing and comparing AI-generated outputs across UI/UX and multiple visual formats with evidence-based feedback.

You will design briefs, test them with frontier AI tools, and evaluate results against a professional benchmark, including comparing two model versions on identical prompts and assets

Qualifications

• Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
• Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, interaction design, and user flow.
• Ability to articulate why a design fails, not just that it fails.

Responsibilities

• Create challenging, realistic design briefs grounded in your professional expertise.
• Test briefs with frontier AI design tools and evaluate outputs against a professional benchmark.
• Compare two model versions on identical prompts and assets, selecting the better result and documenting shortcomings.
• Critique model-generated interfaces, mockups, layouts, slides, infographics, illustration, and motion.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence, including alignment and spacing, content overflow and cutoff, typography, visual hierarchy, SVG and illustration quality, ignored assets, and off-brief interpretation.
• Contribute across software and interactive work, office and presentation design, technical illustration, graphic design, and new media.
