Job summary

Toeroek Associates, Inc. is seeking an Entry- to Mid-Level Water Engineer to support wastewater and drinking water compliance with the CWA and SDWA. The successful candidate will assist senior staff in sampling and engineering tasks to improve operations at facilities in EPA Region 7.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
• 1–4 years of related experience for junior level; 5+ years for mid level.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to the project team on water quality and treatment challenges.
• Work as a technical specialist in conventional water treatment processes (coagulation, clarification, softening, filtration, UV, ozonation, carbon adsorption).
• Oversee work processes on projects, collaborate with design teams to implement treatment solutions.
• Develop and support training programs for operators and maintenance technicians at water treatment plants.
• Review and update O&M manuals and materials at operating facilities.
• Support sampling for CWA/SDWA compliance, including PFAS protocols.
• Develop advanced treatment concepts and design approaches for complex problems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary projects and review design plans, criteria, letters, memos, drawings, and cost estimates.
