Job summary

WM is seeking a Director, Wastewater Process Engineer to lead enterprise-wide initiatives for landfill liquids management and treatment. The role reports to the Sr.

Director of ES&WT and focuses on policy, procedures, and best practices for waste liquids across facilities. The position requires oversight of regulatory changes, development of innovative treatment solutions, and collaboration with internal and external experts to improve environmental compliance and business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, environmental management, biology or chemistry.
• 10+ years overall experience with 7+ years in industrial wastewater treatment design/operations.
• Master's degree preferred with 10+ years experience; 3+ years of management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy development, procedures, and programs for landfill liquids management and treatment.
• Provide technical leadership for complex wastewater projects and R&D initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into compliance and operational improvements.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with corporate and field teams.
