Job summary

Balchem Corporation in Ogden, UT is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support production, inventory, and receptionist duties. You will assemble batch records, enter inventory data, and assist with month-end inventory reconciliation to ensure accurate stock levels.

The role includes coordinating outbound shipments, maintaining SOPs, and supporting budgeting and expense reviews. Lean/Six Sigma training is a plus, with MS Office and inventory software experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Business field or 3 years production inventory & Microsoft Office experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma training is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and inventory management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble batch production records from work orders and print labels, verifying accuracy before release.
• Enter inventory data using purchase orders, receiving records and production sheets as backup.
• Assist with end-of-month inventory, reconciling material discrepancies as needed.
• Coordinate outbound shipments with warehouse staff.
• Notify warehouse of shipments needing special handling or relabeling.
• Answer and direct incoming calls.
• Help create and maintain SOPs and Work Station Instructions and ensure training is current.
• Support achievement of annual departmental goals through team involvement and task execution.
• Create and monitor Document Change Orders; forward to Quality and verify implementation.
• Review monthly expenses with Warehouse Manager and code expenses correctly.
• Manage inventory levels for office, packaging, janitorial and safety supplies; liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain MSDS/SDS for raw materials and cleaning supplies.
• May serve as back-up for releasing finished product for shipment.
• Assist in creating production matrices with visual indicators like graphs and charts.
• Assist in production when needed to meet scheduling demands.
