Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a VP, Portfolio Management to oversee a nationwide real estate and facilities portfolio (~425 centers) with responsibility for lease administration, construction, maintenance, and risk management.

This remote role travels 30–40% and leads two facilities managers, guiding outsourced partners and cross-functional teams to optimize performance and ensure safety and compliance across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Facilities Management or related field.
• Progressive leadership in real estate, lease administration and facilities management at multi-site scale.
• Experience with commercial leases, landlord relationships, renewals and risk.
• Strong facilities-management and capital planning experience.
• Construction or project-management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead teams and manage outsourced service providers.
• Strong financial acumen including budget ownership and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for nationwide real estate and facilities portfolio (~425 centers).
• Oversee real estate, facilities, construction, maintenance, and lease-management activities.
• Develop portfolio strategies supporting operations, finances, growth and risk.
• Lead two Facilities Managers and manage outsourced partners.
• Set service standards, metrics, and accountability for partners.
• Oversee lease administration, renewals, critical dates and landlord relations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations on lease negotiations and capital planning.
• Manage maintenance programs and timely issue resolution across locations.
• Oversee capital projects, renovations, relocations, and expansions.
• Ensure codes, life-safety, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Develop operating and capital budgets and drive cost-efficiency.
• Conduct regular site visits and understand regional facility conditions.
• Serve as trusted advisor on complex real estate and facilities matters.
