Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Vice President of Portfolio Management to lead a nationwide real estate and facilities portfolio across approximately 425 centers. This executive role oversees real estate, facilities, lease administration, and construction-related initiatives to ensure safety, compliance, and growth while supporting a remote work setup with 30–40% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Significant leadership in real estate portfolio management and lease administration.
• Experience managing commercial leases, landlord relationships, renewals, and risk.
• Strong facilities-management experience including maintenance, vendor oversight, and capital planning.
• Construction, renovation, or project management experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage outsourced service providers.
• Strong financial acumen with budget ownership and cost-control initiatives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the nationwide real estate and facilities portfolio (~425 centers).
• Oversee real estate, facilities, construction, maintenance, and lease-management activities.
• Develop and execute portfolio strategies aligning with operations, finance, and growth.
• Lead two Facilities Managers and manage outsourced partners.
• Set service standards, metrics, and accountability for partners.
• Oversee lease administration, renewals, critical dates, and landlord relations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations on negotiations and capital planning.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and seek cost-efficiency improvements.
• Conduct regular site visits and understand regional facility needs.
• Serve as strategic advisor on real estate, facilities, and construction matters.
