Job summary

Blue State is seeking a Vice President to lead cross-disciplinary teams in creating and implementing digital strategies for a client mix across non-profit, political/advocacy, and brand spaces. You will manage a sizeable portion of the business and Accounts team, driving growth plans and evolving the Account Management craft.

You will lead senior client engagements, oversee program delivery, and mentor teams, shaping strategy, tactics, and client interactions across the agency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in client services, digital marketing, fundraising or a related area.
• Experience in selling and leading digitally-driven campaigns and/or advocacy projects.
• Deep knowledge of email and direct marketing fundraising strategies and tactics.
• Some paid media or technical experience, or willingness to learn, to communicate about Blue State’s products.
• Ability to adapt to new situations and communicate effectively; teamwork and scrappiness required.
• A shared passion and curiosity for making change and redefining how business is done.
• Empathy, communication, respect, and the ability to set a positive example at Blue State.
• Confidence to guide clients at a senior, C-suite level.

Responsibilities

• Manage a significant portion of our business and Accounts team, setting strategic growth plans for our clients.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensure expectations are set and met, and leverage satisfaction into future opportunities.
• Ensure successful program and project management, including planning and scheduling, cost estimating, and delivery oversight.
• Provide technical, creative, and strategic oversight across all offerings and disciplines teams to ensure high-quality work.
• Develop strategies and tactics to meet client objectives; produce proposals, plans, and communications clearly and convincingly.
• Support in targeting, pursuing, and closing engagements with new clients by presenting capabilities effectively.
• Focus on developing the Account Management craft at Blue State and mentor staff across teams.
