Job summary

Coastal Ridge Real Estate is seeking a Vice President of Operations for Student Housing to oversee a nationwide portfolio, drive revenue, manage budgets, and improve operational efficiency while leading Regional Property Managers to meet occupancy and revenue targets.

This role emphasizes mentorship, policy development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement the Coastal Ridge operating platform and value-add projects, with travel as needed and remote-friendly arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; problem solving, analytical and financial skills are essential.
• 10+ years’ experience in Student Housing property management, including 5–8+ years as a Regional Property Manager.
• Proven leadership experience, managing multi-unit properties or managers across dispersed locations.
• Experience managing student and conventional multi-family properties across the United States.
• Experience with Class A and Class B properties; value-add and new construction deals are a plus.
• Experience with Entrata or RealPage products (Onesite) and Yieldstar is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full Profit and Loss for a large portfolio of Coastal Ridge owned and third-party assets; drive topline revenue and manage expenses.
• Mentor and develop the Regional Operations Team and direct reports to enforce policies and accountability.
• Lead strategies for underperforming assets to improve results and performance.
• Conduct regular site visits to provide strategic oversight and support site teams.
• Collaborate with Transitions and Acquisitions teams to onboard new properties and manage exits.
