Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to lead cloud automation and architecture in a remote, full-time role. You will mentor the Cloud Platform Engineering team and drive IaC, CI/CD, and secure cloud-native deployments using Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes, Istio/Linkerd, and Karpenter.

Responsibilities include building scalable pipelines, enforcing security controls, and collaborating with stakeholders across products to deliver resilient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 8+ years of industry experience, with AVP level equivalent experience preferred.
• 10-15 years in cloud automation and infra development preferred.
• 8+ years AWS Security & Networking experience.
• Proven Terraform mastery with substantial IaC experience.
• 6+ years CI/CD/GitOps experience (ArgoCD, FluxCD) and automation platforms.
• Kubernetes deployment experience and service mesh expertise (Istio/Linkerd).
• Experience with cloud-native scaling using Karpenter.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as an individual contributor and mentor within the Cloud Platform Engineering team.
• Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services.
• Develop advanced CI/CD pipelines across monolithic, stateless, and serverless apps.
• Design architectures aligning with AWS Well-Architected and security standards.
• Deliver solutions in multi-customer environments with speed and precision.
• Develop tactical IaC strategies across products with varying maturity.
• Implement and manage IAM, security groups, NACLs, and VPC configurations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on design decisions and provide project updates.
• Architect cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes, Istio/Linkerd, and Karpenter.
