Job summary

IQVIA seeks a VP & Managing Director, Mid-Sized Pharma to lead strategic partnerships with designated mid-sized pharmaceutical customers. You will champion clinical development, governance, and global delivery to accelerate customer programs and drive sustainable growth.

You will orchestrate matrix teams across Quality, Data Management, and Lifecycle Safety to ensure high-quality delivery, strong client trust, and meaningful long-term value for both IQVIA and its partners.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in clinical development and global delivery models.
• Strong understanding of pharma/biotech business models and operational challenges.
• 15–20 years of experience in pharma, biotech, CRO, or related environments.
• Proven success in senior client management and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Solid matrix leadership across global teams and functions.
• Ability to translate priorities into measurable, strategic plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior operational liaison between IQVIA and the customer’s clinical development organization.
• Lead the preferred provider partnership by shaping strategic resourcing and collaboration.
• Mobilize global IQVIA teams to align delivery priorities and sustain partnership value.
• Drive year-over-year organic growth and maintain high client satisfaction.
• Chair or co-chair governance forums and oversee issue resolution across the partnership.
• Lead portfolio-level risk management and track delivery performance with global units.
• Partner with Sales and account leadership on financial tracking and opportunities.
