Job summary

Pathward, National Association is seeking a Vice President, Financial Crimes Independent Testing and Quality Assurance to lead the enterprise QA program across 1LoD and 2LoD. You will shape testing strategy, governance, and risk-based plans while overseeing a team and driving independent challenge to leadership.

The role collaborates with Risk, Technology, and Internal Audit to strengthen controls and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, Compliance, Accounting, or related field.
10–15+ years of experience in Financial Crimes, BSA/AML, Sanctions, Fraud, Risk Management, Compliance, QA, or Internal Audit.
Experience leading Financial Crimes QA, independent testing, or assurance programs.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and three lines of defense frameworks.
Experience providing credible challenge to senior management.

Responsibilities

Lead the enterprise Financial Crimes Independent Testing and QA Program across 1LoD and 2LoD.
Develop and maintain risk-based testing universe and annual testing plans.
Oversee testing of CDD/EDD, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, SAR, Sanctions, and Fraud processes.
Establish governance, methodologies, scoring frameworks, and reporting.
Escalate significant issues and provide executive-level insights.
Mentor the QA team and ensure independence from reviewed processes.
