Pathward seeks a Financial Crimes Quality Assurance Analyst to execute 2LoD QA within BSA/AML, Sanctions, and Fraud areas. You will oversee alert oversight, risk rating governance, and policy interpretation. The role focuses on consistent, regulator-aligned outputs and credible challenge to strengthen risk management.

The position emphasizes QA reviews, issue management, and data-driven insights to improve governance and oversight across the 2LoD function.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
3–7+ years of experience in Financial Crimes (AML, Sanctions, Fraud).
Experience in 2LoD Compliance / Financial Crimes oversight or QA/testing.
Strong knowledge of BSA/AML and sanctions regulatory expectations.
Understanding of three lines of defense model and governance practices.
Experience reviewing complex financial crime cases and providing oversight.

Responsibilities

Perform QA reviews of 2LoD casework, memos, and decisions for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct horizontal reviews to identify systemic weaknesses and governance gaps.
Document QA findings with root cause, impact, and remediation tracking.
Provide independent challenge within the 2LoD and support regulatory exams.
Develop QA methodologies, test scripts, and defect taxonomies for 2LoD.
