Job summary

DeVry University seeks Visiting Professors to teach information systems and related programs. The role involves developing and delivering courses with structured syllabi, using online and face-to-face blends, and engaging students through AI-enabled instructional methods.

Faculty will participate in comprehensive training and ongoing development to ensure quality instruction. Roles are ongoing, with flexible hours depending on campus needs and state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• PhD or closely related field with significant IS/IT coursework
• Unofficial transcripts must be uploaded with application
• Accredited by US DoE/CHEA or international equivalence
• 3–5 years of applied professional IS/IT experience
• Experience designing and managing information systems solutions
• Certifications relevant to IS/IT management or analysis
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts to learners
• Knowledge of information governance, cybersecurity, data management and ethical tech use

Responsibilities

• Develops syllabus aligned to DeVry University requirements
• Prepares and updates course materials regularly
• Utilizes online tools and discussions to support learning
• Models clear oral and written communication for students
• Publishes course objectives and assessment schedules
• Ensures exams align with terminal objectives and provide timely feedback
• Incorporates responsible AI usage in teaching and addresses AI tool use by students
• Performs other duties as assigned
