Job summary

Duke Primary Care invites applications for a Virtual Primary Care Physician within the Virtual Care Team. This role delivers primary care through video visits, supports longitudinal patient relationships, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary virtual team to ensure high-quality outcomes and exceptional patient experience.

The position can be full-time or part-time (less than 1.0 fte) with shifts across days and times, based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Physicians must have training in internal medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine & pediatrics (IM-Peds).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care via virtual video visits including evaluation and management of acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and preventive care.
• Establish longitudinal patient relationships and coordinate with a multidisciplinary virtual care team.
• Utilize RPM tools and virtual care workflows to deliver high-quality care from home or other private locations.
• Document accurately in medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Duke Health's network of urgent care and in-person services for necessary labs, imaging, and procedures.
