Job summary

Duke Primary Care is seeking a Virtual Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive primary care through video encounters from a home or private location. The role supports Duke Health’s Virtual Care Center with a focus on long-term patient relationships and outcomes across North Carolina.

Shifts range 4–12 hours, seven days a week, to meet patient needs. Physicians will practice at the top of their license within standardized virtual care pathways and coordinate with in-person services when

Qualifications

• Training in internal medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine & pediatrics (IM-Peds).
• Physicians will work in a virtual primary care setting with video visits.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, virtual care team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care via video visits for acute and chronic conditions.
• Coordinate with virtual care center nursing and triage teams for timely care.
• Document all clinical data and orders in the electronic medical record.
• Stay updated on telemedicine innovations and clinical guidelines.
