Job summary

Real HR Hero is seeking an experienced Virtual HR Advisor II to support multi-state clients from a home-based setting. You will mentor the HR Advisor I team, assess client HR needs, and deliver tailored HR infrastructure and documentation for diverse businesses.

The role emphasizes compliance with California and multi-state laws, client collaboration, and strategic HR guidance while maintaining flexible, part-time hours.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive multi-state HR experience including HR manager or HR business partner, or HR consulting.
• Extensive experience with California labor law and wage & hour compliance.
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior HR professionals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR advisor for assigned client accounts and build trusted relationships.
• Support complex HR matters including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
• Conduct HR assessments, research, and create customized templates and documentation.
• Develop tailored HR infrastructure based on client needs and facilitate tasks virtually.
• Mentor HR Advisor I team members and stay current on California and multi-state regulations.
