Job summary

Chewy Veterinary Care is hiring a full-time Veterinary Care Representative to support pet parents and veterinary practices through compassionate, high-quality customer service. This primarily remote role requires living within a commutable distance to our local-area practices for occasional in-person support.

In this role you will handle inbound calls, schedule and manage wellness and urgent appointments, answer questions about services, and collaborate with teams using Zoom and Slack.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of small animal veterinary or related industry experience.
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced, virtual call center environment.
• Comfort using multiple computer systems and navigating online resources.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from pet parents, veterinary practices, pharmacies, and vendors.
• Schedule, reschedule, and manage wellness, sick, surgical, and urgent appointments.
• Answer questions about services and assist with appointment-related needs.
• Conduct follow-ups and outreach for prior medical requests and authorizations.
• Research and resolve customer issues using active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with teams and leaders using virtual tools (Zoom, Slack).
