Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services seeks a Nurse Practitioner to conduct VA Compensation & Pension examinations, review records, perform focused assessments, and render medical opinions. Some charting from home may be required; travel up to 10% to other LSGS clinics.

The role requires active NP license, minimum 1 year in medical disability exams, BLS, strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and independence. Schedule Mon-Fri 8am–5pm; federal contractor eligibility and confidentiality emphasized.

Qualifications

Active Nurse Practitioner license (unrestricted) in the United States.
Minimum 1 year of experience conducting medical disability examinations.
BLS certification required, with renewals.
Ability to work independently and with team; strong communication and empathy.
HIPAA compliance knowledge and training completed.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations and review patient history.
Review and analyze medical records and diagnostic tests.
Render objective medical opinions on disability impact and work capacity.
Document findings in VA-compliant reports and formats.
Coordinate with QA team and healthcare professionals for additional insights.
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance throughout examinations.
Manage scheduling and travel; coordinate with Loyal Source clinics.
