Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to conduct VA Compensation & Pension exams. You will review veteran records, perform focused assessments, and provide objective medical opinions to support disability determinations.

This role may involve home charting and up to 10% travel to other Loyal Source clinics, with strict adherence to VA guidelines and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with an active, unrestricted NP license in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of nurse practitioner experience, preferably in medical evaluations.
• Experience in disability examinations or related fields is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to work independently and with teams.
• Familiarity with VA/MDE program requirements and HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA disability benefits.
• Review medical records, perform focused assessments, and render objective medical opinions.
• Document findings in VA-compliant reports and coordinate with QA and other professionals.
• Travel up to 10% to support other Loyal Source clinics; manage workload and deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and federal contracting requirements.
