Job summary

CBES (City Building Engineering Services) is seeking a Vendor Management Analyst for a 6+ month fixed-term assignment. The role is primarily remote with occasional visits to our Quincy, MA headquarters.

You will support the Program Director and Vendor Manager across sourcing, onboarding, and vendor performance management. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement knowledge, vendor evaluation experience, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in procurement or vendor management.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain vendor management policies and standards.
• Support indirect sourcing in evaluating vendor capabilities and terms.
• Monitor vendor performance against contracts, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Lead vendor evaluations, scorecards, and assessments.
• Build strong vendor partnerships and act as primary contact.
• Identify and escalate operational risks or performance concerns.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, and Operations.
• Maintain up-to-date vendor records and compliance documents.
• Advise on preventive maintenance and SLA inclusion in contracts.
• Support vendor transitions, renewals, and offboarding.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the program.
• Perform additional duties to meet business needs.
