DEKRA Automotive Ltd seeks a Vehicle Damage Assessor to evaluate damage, prepare detailed estimates, and guide repair decisions. You will work remotely with occasional onsite visits, coordinating with customers, insurers, and repair teams.

The role requires Audatex proficiency, strong communication, and a solid understanding of vehicle repair standards. Relevant certifications and automotive qualifications are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vehicle Damage Assessor in bodyshop or automotive assessment.
• Knowledge of OEM repair standards and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and methodical inspection/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess structural, mechanical, electronic and cosmetic damage.
• Produce repair estimates using Audatex and ensure insurer and manufacturer compliance.
• Apply OEM repair methods and determine repair vs replace decisions, including ADAS/EV considerations.
• Liaise with customers, insurers and internal teams to communicate requirements and progress.
• Maintain documentation to support repair planning, workflow and cost control.
