Job summary

Superior is seeking a skilled VDC Coordinator to join our fully remote team. You will prepare 2D layout drawings for BIM modeling and field installation, generate panel pull sheets, and review drawings and submittals for multiple market sectors including data centers, healthcare, and industrial projects.

With at least 5 years of electrical experience, you will coordinate with project teams, contribute to BIM standards, and participate in coordination meetings.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience as a commercial electrician or electrical engineer.
• Experience with power distribution systems up to 15kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS, raceways and transformers.
• Experience reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications, and equipment submittals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D layout drawings for BIM modeling or field installation.
• Produce field installation and prefabrication drawings.
• Generate panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire information.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Coordinate with Project Management on submittals and discrepancies.
• Provide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practices.
• Support development of department BIM/Layout standards.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetings.
