Job summary
Superior is seeking a highly organized VDC Coordinator (On-Site) for our Columbus, Ohio team. You will prepare 2D layouts for BIM modeling and field installation, generate panel sheets, and review drawings and submittals to ensure contract compliance.
The role requires 5+ years as a commercial electrician or electrical engineer, with expertise in power distribution up to 15kV and familiarity with NEC. BIM tools and healthcare/data center projects are a plus; strong communication and teamwork are
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as a commercial electrician or electrical engineer.
- Experience with power distribution systems from 120V/480V up to 15kV.
- Experience reviewing electrical design drawings, specs and submittals.
- Experience with healthcare, data centers, industrial or higher education facilities.
- Familiarity with NEC and construction codes; experience with BIM/document standards is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D layout drawings for BIM modeling or field installation.
- Produce field installation and prefabrication drawings.
- Generate panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire information.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Coordinate with Project Management on submittals and discrepancies.
- Provide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models.
- Support development of BIM/Layout standards.
- Participate in BIM coordination and technical committee meetings.
