Magna5 MS LLC is seeking a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) for a fully remote role. The position focuses on governance, risk, and compliance, security engineering, and incident response.

You will lead security policy development, risk assessments, and audits while guiding cross-functional teams to implement robust controls. The role requires proven cyber security leadership, engineering experience, and familiarity with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer, Security Analyst, or similar.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA) and standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security architectures, secure software development, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Governance, risk, and compliance: develop and maintain policies, controls, and documentation; support audits and regulatory requirements.
• System security engineering: integrate security into design; conduct architecture reviews; perform assessments and remediation.
• Incident response and monitoring: contribute to IR plans; participate in investigations; implement proactive monitoring and tools.
