Allsup, LLC is seeking a VA Claims Consultant to review and resolve complex veteran claims, analyze medical evidence, and prepare briefs. You will mentor peers, ensure accuracy, and maintain confidentiality while supporting claims staff across the Veterans Affairs process.

In this role you will gather records, draft statements, and coordinate with medical providers, aiming for precise, timely case progression in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong oral and written communication and ability to learn technical instructions.
• Minimum of two years of Veteran's disability claims handling responsibilities and experience
• Professional oral/telephone communication skills.
• Superior organizational skills.
• High level of initiative.
• Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review and address technical, medical and viability issues on VA claims.
• Review VA claims file and medical evidence; resolve complex issues.
• Instruct, mentor, and train peers and support staff.
• Draft briefs and ensure accuracy of case documentation.
• Research reference materials to support case development.
• Document system notes thoroughly and maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in training sessions and demonstrate processes.
• Assist with claims agent duties when needed.
• Work on special projects.
