Job summary

Allsup LLC seeks a VA Claims Consultant to review and address technical, medical, and viability issues on veteran disability claims. You will analyze VA decisions, medical evidence, and regulations to prepare briefs and assist claimants.

The role includes mentoring peers and maintaining strict confidentiality. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and at least two years in Veteran's disability claims handling.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum of two years of Veteran's disability claims handling responsibilities and experience.
• Professional oral/telephone communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare a summary of the veteran's claims file including past and present VA decisions and medical evidence.
• Review medical records and VA documents to determine relevant medical records and appropriate disability questionnaires.
• Assist claimants with drafting lay statements and case summaries for medical consultants; identify and send VA disability questionnaires.
• Review briefs written by claims agent and provide proofreading and research as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of claimant information and support staff training.
