Job summary

CEI is seeking a UX Content Writer / Content Strategist to shape how content is structured and experienced across the customer journey. The role partners with design, product, and customer experience teams to deliver clear, accessible communications across digital and traditional channels.

The ideal candidate has 3–6+ years in writing or content strategy, strong editing skills, and experience applying accessibility practices.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of professional writing, editing, UX content, or content strategy experience.
• Strong editing and proofreading with high attention to detail.
• Ability to simplify complex information for broad audiences.
• Experience supporting content across multiple customer channels.
• Experience applying accessibility and inclusive content practices.
• Experience in Agile environments (sprint planning, backlog refinement, delivery ceremonies).
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners (design, customer experience, service, communications, development, legal).
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread customer-facing content for web, email, SMS, digital assistant experiences, and agent materials.
• Translate complex or technical information into clear, customer-friendly language.
• Ensure consistency in voice, tone, terminology, and messaging across channels and touchpoints.
• Apply accessibility and inclusive content best practices to support usable experiences.
• Manage content workflows, including reviews, approvals, and publishing processes.
• Maintain and update content standards, style guidelines, and templates.
• Use feedback and analytics to refine content and improve self-service experiences.
