This remote US position requires coordination between hospital staff and payers, ensuring timely determinations and strict HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities include detailed EMR documentation, eligibility verification, and follow-up with payers to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with hospital billing/follow-up and authorization work.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end authorization process from notice to discharge.
• Maintain detailed documentation in EMR and payer portals.
• Verify eligibility and benefits; liaise with hospital staff and payers.
• Track timely filing guidelines and follow up on authorizations.
• Identify delays, escalate issues, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
