Job summary

CorroHealth seeks a Coordinator, Utilization Management for a remote, US-based role. In this position you will manage the Authorization process from start to finish, document thoroughly in EMR and payer portals, verify patient eligibility, and liaise with hospital staff and payers to ensure timely determinations while upholding HIPAA compliance.

Required schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday, with some holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in hospital billing/follow-up/authorization.
• Knowledge of managed care contracts.
• Experience with customer support and issue resolution.
• Strong medical terminology and insurance process knowledge.
• Experience with EMR systems, Epic preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and web systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Authorization process end to end, from initial notification to discharge.
• Maintain detailed documentation in EMR and internal systems.
• Verify correct eligibility and benefits for patients.
• Act as liaison between hospital staff and Health Payer to facilitate information sharing.
• Review timely filing guidelines for utilization management.
• Track and follow up with payers on authorizations.
• Escalate issues that may cause delays or denials.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
